Yesterday, the Daily Beast published an article highlighting the fact that there is a Super PAC spending a lot of money on the Republican Senate Primary in West Virginia and no one knows who donated the money. We looked into this and the Daily Beast is correct. We will not know who donated the money until close to the end of May. However, we know that Perkins Coie LLP, a very pro-democrat law firm with headquarters in Seattle, let Duty and Country use their email address when registering. (Please see the attached screen shot). Duty and Country has already spent $1.35 mln and who knows how much more money they have to spend. If out-of-State Super PACs are going to participate in elections then we need to know who is backing them sooner rather than later. This loophole is bad for both sides.
