Since the beginning of 2017, the National Republican Senate and Congressional Committees (NRCC, NRSC) have paid over 3 times as much in Bank and Credit Card Fees compared to their Democratic counterparts, the DSCC and DCCC. The NRCC and NRSC paid a combined $1.3 million in Bank and Credit Card Fees, compared to only $403 thousand paid by the DSCC and DCCC. At first glance, you would think that the Republicans just took in a lot more donations than the Democrats. That is not the case. Over the same time frame, the NRCC and NRSC took in $224 million in donation and the DSCC and DCCC took in a combined $182 million. The Republicans only took in 24% more than the Democrats. However, they are paying significantly more in Bank and Credit Card fees.
Is it because they are fiscally irresponsible? Personally I have never thought that any politician really understands finance and the fact that our Country is $21 trillion in debt proves it. Maybe it is because if they need more money they can literally just ask people to give it to them.
It looks like the NRSC primarily uses Target Victory and the NRCC uses both Target Victory and Stripe. Maybe they need to go back and renegotiate a better deal. We know that Trump knows how to negotiate. Maybe he can send them a copy of the Art of the Deal. The DCCC only used ActBlue over the last year and a half. However, the DSCC used both ActBlue and Stripe. It is good to see non-partisan vendor once in a while.
ActBlue Technical Services was paid $2.7 million by all politicians and PAC. Target Victory was paid $2.3 million and Stripe was paid $551,000 by all politicians and PAC.
